Mike Taylor has left the University of Houston baseball program to take a full-time assistant coach position at Baylor.
Taylor, who spent the past two seasons in a volunteer role with the Cougars, joins the staff of Steve Rodriguez, who was named head coach earlier this month.
“Bittersweet! Have certainly enjoyed being a Coog!” Taylor posted on his Twitter account Tuesday.
Before coming to UH, Taylor spent 12 years as an assistant at Rice, winning a national championship in 2003.
